Cartridge Valves are offered in two versions.

Press Release Summary:

Electro-proportional cartridge valves include direct-acting and pilot-operated versions. Direct-acting models consist of proportional flow controls, pressure reducing and relieving cartridges, and pilot stage relief. Valves are available in 2, 3, and 4 ports, have flow capacities of 0.1-200 gpm, and operating pressures up to 5000 psi. Floating style construction eliminates binding of internal parts.

Sun Introduces Electro-Proportional Cartridge Valves

Sun introduces the first of its new line of electro-proportional cartridge valves. This initial offering comprises both direct-acting and pilot-operated versions. The direct-acting models consist of proportional flow controls, pressure reducing/relieving cartridges, and a pilot stage relief. The pilot stage relief also provides the foundation for the pilot-operated proportional product line.

There are significant advantages to Sun's line of proportional products. These include:

An extensive array of proportionally controlled functions available in 2 port, 3 port and 4 port varieties

Flow capacities ranging from as low as 0.1 gpm (0,4 L/min) up to as high as 200 gpm (760 L/min)

Operating pressures up to 5000 psi (345 bar)

The Sun floating style construction to eliminate the effects of internal parts binding due to excessive installation torque and/or cavity/cartridge machining variations

Functional interchangeability with Sun's non-electro-proportional products

Physical interchangeability with Sun's non-electro-proportional products of same function and frame size, i.e. same cavity and manifolds

Same coil as Sun's solenoid-operated, full-flow switching cartridges
