Transtector Launches CPX - a Carrier Grade, High Density, 16 Port Rack-Mount, Modular Surge Protector

Transtector Systems, a member of the Protection Technology Group, today announces the release of CPX, its latest Carrier Grade Protection Device. The CPX is a high density, modular multi-protocol surge protection device for up to 16 T1/E1, Ethernet and/or gigabit Ethernet ports. CPX modules are GR 1089-CORE Issue 4, port type 3 & 5 and Level I & II compliant.and with only 3 pF of line capacitance, the CPX is optimized for signal performance.

The robust coordinated Level I & II surge protection design comprises transient blocking surge technology and high capacity gas discharge tubes, optimized for OSP environments. With a 20 kA of surge current capacity, the CPX meets GR 1089 CORE Severe Climatic Conditions and supports elements of EIPP (equipment integrated primary protection) requirements.

"Transtector is pleased to launch the CPX solution. Through engineering innovation and collaboration with key carrier and OEM customers the CPX has met its goal in providing a cost effective modular protection solution in 1RU. Our team looks forward to continuing to raise the bar as we work to develop new and innovative power and signal integrity solutions." said Jim Nelson, VP Sales and Marketing for Transtector Systems

CPX T1/E1, Ethernet and gigabit Ethernet modules are available individually or in preconfigured and assembled chassis. CPX modules are easily installed on the front of the chassis housing in which all in-and-out ports are located. The 16 gauge aluminum gray powder coat chassis housing features dual stud ground studs. Available options also include fused and non-fused modules.

From 3G / 4G and Wireless Backhaul to Carrier Ethernet MAN/WAN upgrades, Transtector's technical sales staff and engineering teams collaborate in providing world class power and signal integrity solutions.
