The combination allows users to store increasing volumes of structured and semi-structured data from databases, logs and other machine-generated data sources along with unstructured content such as audio, documents, e-mails, images, and videos in CAStor.
The combined solution provides a horizontal platform that enterprises can use to increase efficiency and dramatically reduce the cost of their infrastructure required to retain and manage data. ISVs and service providers can use Caringo and RainStor to offer new data retention services at higher margins, including those delivered via the cloud.
