Custom manufactured carbide wear parts that can be fabricated to specification for extending the life of wear-prone mechanisms are available from Sandstrom Carbide Products Corporation of Warwick Rhode Island.

Sandstrom Carbide Wear Parts can be fabricated from tungsten, boron, and silicon carbides, as well as high speed steels, and cast metals. Featuring carbide pads silver-solder brazed or epoxied at selective wear points to provide an extremely hard and highly abrasion-resistant surface, they can be manufactured to specification in a variety of simple and complex shapes.

Prolonging the life of wear-prone machanisms, Sandstrom Carbide Wear Parts can range in size from 0.010" up to 18" long with weights ranging from fractions of an ounce up to several pounds. Produced in prototype to production quantities, applications include form tool tips, scribers, punches, long bed knives, rolls, mixers, and spray nozzles.
