MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (June 29, 2005) -AVX Corporation, a leading manufacturer of passive components, has enhanced the FD Series capacitor to provide a specific energy over 1000 joules per liter and to reach 1350 joules per liter with 2500V. Enhanced electrical performance was developed to specifically to meet the needs of the medical, military and industrial markets.
"The FDV1 and FDBB suit a wide range of markets and applications, allowing the design engineer to select the FD capacitor that best fits the design and purpose of the product," said Bill Peace, AVX product manager. The FDV1 is available in a wrapped package and is used mainly in military and industrial markets. The FDBB is available in a cylindrical plastic case presentation and is specifically designed for medical applications.
