Capacitive Sensor for Liquid Level Controlling
SCHURTER's new CLS 16 capacitive sensor is designed to control liquid levels in both non-metal and metal tubs and tanks. Its unobtrusive and flat design is especially suited for use in sinks, bathtubs, hot tubs, spas and other containers of non-aggressive liquids. The compact sensor has an aluminum housing. It has a small mounting diameter of 16 millimeters and a short mounting depth of 8 millimeters behind the panel. It can be varnished in colors that blend well with the mounting surface color. A compensation feature for whirl-pooling or splashing water is also available as an added option.
The CLS 16 is longer lasting and more reliable when compared to mechanical solutions. It has no mechanical parts that are more likely to breakdown and fail due to the wear and tear of repeat operation. Its robust build can withstand harsh weather and extreme temperatures (0-70° C), making it ideal for outdoor use. The capacitive sensor is fastened directly to the tub or tank, thus providing a higher degree of fluid level tolerance and accuracy over conventional float devices.
The CLS 16 has an NPN output, and requires a supply voltage of+7.5 - +24 VDC. It has 3-wire connections. The standard length of the wire is 2 meters. It is fitted with a sealing o-ring and hex-nut (included). The standard color is white (RAL9016). Pricing is $49.82 in 50 piece quantities. Small quantities are available from stock.
