Softing Announces New CANbus To USB Interface



Newburyport, MA - The new CANusb interface from Softing allows a user to quickly access a CANbus with a simple USB connection to a desktop or notebook computer. Installation of the CANusb requires a computer with a USB port and Windows 98, 2000, NT or XP and does not require system rebooting after connection. Additionally, there is no hardware interruption after connecting the CANusb as it requires minimal system resources for operation.

The CANusb interface offers a data transfer rate of 1 Mbit/s and utilizes Softing's universal API for all form factors. Offering high performance with static object storage, the CANusb is able to perform multiple tasks including data acquisition, network analysis and non time-critical operating and control tasks.
