Enlarged CANLink(TM) Family Offers Greater Designer Options

(Hartford, WI) HED recently announced a significant expansion of their line of CANLink J1939 multiplex control products.

The company developed products for this enlarged family in collaboration with leading off-road and on-road equipment manufacturers to meet some of the severest operating conditions in the industry.

The twelve new module types and configurations offer broader system design capability - and potentially lower system costs - than any other J1939 Controlled Area Network (CAN) product offered today. These building block standardized components offer "off-the-shelf" availability, and can be quickly and easily customized with either hardware or software modifications to match any specific application need.

This enlarged CAN family of products is supported by HED provided laptop software that lets the customer custom-configure the system and perform electrical system diagnostics as well - through simple, easy-to-use screens that use logic statements or ladder-logic diagrams.

The CANLink family goes far beyond just the advantages of simplified vehicle or machine wiring - with a host of HED accessory products that link all machine control functions for truly enhanced, intelligent machine control.

Forming "smart" vehicle and machine systems, the HED CANLink line of microprocessor based J1939 Controlled Area Network multiplex products and accessories allow system controllers,
sensors and actuators to intelligently communicate with each other at very high speeds (250kb/sec) through a single twisted pair of wires.

Because of all the advantages multiplex control systems offer, many industry analysts predict J1939 CAN systems will quickly become the new standard for vehicle and machine system design.

HED is a leading supplier of state-of-the-art electronics for truck, vehicle, and off-road machine applications. Contact HED for a free brochure on the expanded CANLink family.
