Can-Eng Furnaces Supplies Bright Tube Annealing Line
Can-Eng Furnaces Ltd., Global Furnace Systems Group is manufacturing a 1500 kg/hr automotive steel tube annealing line for an undisclosed Mexican manufacturer. The unit will be used to bright anneal tubing in lengths up to 8 m long under low dewpoint EXO gas. The complete line comprises a load table, roller hearth annealing unit, and roller hearth water cooled chamber, unload table, 10,000 CFH EXO Gas Generator and companion Refrigerant and Desiccant Dryers. Control for the system will be via an A/B PLC with the operator interface in the Spanish language. Anticipated start-up is in early 2007. Once operational the equipment is expected to alleviate the shortages of high quality bright annealed tubing in the Mexican market.
On an unrelated item, Can-Eng is supplying a 2000 CFH Lean EXO generator to a customer in the American mid-west to be utilized in the supply of blanket carrier gas in the annealing of steel strapping. This is the company's second order for this firm in recent years.
