Camshaft Measuring Machine Gets Updated Electronics and Motor Controls

An upgraded submicron accuracy, end-of-line camshaft inspection gage that provides high-speed production monitoring of up to 200 parts-per-hour has been introduced by ADCOLE Corporation of Marlborough, Massachusetts.

The ADCOLE 1310 High-Speed Camshaft Gage is an end-of-line inspection gage that can measure 10 or more parameters including radius, profile, taper, crown, timing angle, diameter, velocity, acceleration, run-out, roundness, and concentricity. Providing 0.1 micron resolution per data point, this camshaft gage has been upgraded with dual computers, Windows XP® embedded software, and GE Fanuc® motion controllers.

Incorporating a Eurocard PCB format with diagnostic test points in front for high reliability and ease of maintenance, the ADCOLE 1310 High-Speed Camshaft Gage has a display that lets operators visually monitor throughput with green, yellow, and red plots depicting in-tolerance, reaching control limits, and out of tolerance status. Featuring gage room accuracy, it offers user-programmable measurement parameters and easy part setup changes.

The ADCOLE 1310 High-Speed Camshaft Gage is priced from $475,000. Literature and price quotations are available upon request.
