One Stop Systems Introduces 2U and 4U high CompactPCI Carrier Class Enclosures
Ideal for VoIP, internal gateway and wireless server markets July 2002, Escondido, CA - - One Stop Systems announces the introduction of its new 2U and 4U high CompactPCI enclosures to its family of carrier class enclosures and systems. These feature-rich enclosures offer hot swappable power supplies, each with their own cooling fans, hot swappable air-intake fan canisters, hot swappable exhaust fans, and a large number of backplane options, including H.110 and 2.16 versions. The -48VDC input version is equipped with dual isolating diodes for the central office environment. The AC version allows developers to use the same product in the lab environment. The enclosures are equipped with provisions for front or center-mounted rack ears for 19" and 23" racks.

The 2U Carrier Class Enclosure sells for $2,083 (OEM Qty 100) and the 4U Carrier Class Enclosure sells for $3,018 (OEM Qty 100) and both are available immediately.
Cooling power-hungry telecom boards
Both carrier class enclosures are equipped with superior cooling for demanding power-hungry telecom boards. Front-loading, hot swappable fan canisters house two fans each blowing ambient across the card cage. Each power supply is equipped with two fans that pull air in through the front of the enclosure, blow it across the internal components and exhaust it out the rear of the enclosure. Hot swappable exhaust fans mounted on the rear of the enclosures keep hot air from building within the enclosure.
Hard disk option
The OSS removable hard disk drive canisters provide additional storage by providing bays for two or four 3-1/2" hard disks. A separate backplane contains SCA connectors and termination resistors for easy installation of the drives. The vertically mounted canisters are easily removed with a convenient thumb latch and access handle. Drive mirroring and RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Drives) levels can be employed, as the application requires.
CPU board options
One Stop Systems offers a variety of system and peripheral processors. Other CPU configurations include single and dual 866Mhz and 1.26Ghz processors. A PIII 700Mhz CPU board, with 512MB DRAM, and a 2OGB hard disk drive and slim line floppy drive can be added to the enclosure for $3,398.
