SolidWorks® Direct Interface for hyperMILL® from Open Mind
OPEN MIND Technologies AG, a leading manufacturer of CAD/CAM solutions, and TTF, one of the most renowned companies in the area of CAD data interoperability have extended their partnership to include a direct import interface for OPEN MIND's hyperMILL software for Solidworks native data including Solidworks 2005 formatted data.
OPEN MIND Technologies AG and TTF entered into a collaborative agreement in 2003 to integrate TTF's CAD libraries into OPEN MIND's hyperMILL® CAM product so that native CAD data from leading CAD systems can be read by these directly. OPEN MIND initially offered interfaces for Catia V4®/V5®, Parasolids, Unigraphics and Pro/ENGINEER®. An interface for SolidWorks was initially released in 2004 and was recently upgraded to also support SolidWorks 2005 file format.

hyperMILL is a CAM software product that provides advanced cutter path strategies from 2.5D to 3D to 5-axis. Users have a broad set of strategies to enable desired machining processes. Advanced feature-based technology also helps to automated NC programming for repeated design features such as simple and complex holes, closed and open pockets and other geometric entities.
