New Kipp Plastic-Handle Cam Lever Offers Lightweight Power

STEVENSVILLE, Mich. - A new cam lever from Kipp features a plastic handle, making it lightweight yet durable for most light- to medium-duty applications. The glass-fiber-reinforced plastic cam lever is ergonomically designed for comfort and incorporates horizontal serrations to assure a positive grip. An irradiation cross-linking process is included in the final preparation of the handles for added strength, chemical resistance, wear properties and dimensional stability.

Also included in the Kipp cam lever series is a cast aluminum handle version with black powder coating and an all stainless steel version that delivers added strength, durability and corrosion resistance in harsh environments. Plastic and cast aluminum cam levers are available with both alloy steel and stainless steel threading components. The stainless steel version is supplied only with stainless steel threading components.

The new lever represents an innovative addition to Kipp's wide and diverse cam lever product line. All Kipp cam levers are designed for "quick" fastening and hold-down applications. Standard cam levers with fixed studs allow users to fasten the lever without tools. Adjustable cam levers allow fine-tuning the fastening position using a standard blade screwdriver. They are ideal for applications that don't allow spinning the handle to tighten the stud.

Kipp cam levers serve many markets, including machine building, packaging, medical device, health and wellness equipment, marine, automotive, transportation, chemical, agricultural, food processing, cinematography, general industrial and more.

Kipp has produced high-quality, German-engineered products for more than 90 years, and established a North American distribution center in 2006 to better serve the U.S., Canadian and Mexican markets.
