CalsonicKansei Selects IFS Applications to Support Brazil Automotive Business

ITASCA, ILL. -- IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that CalsonicKansei, a Tier 1 automotive and consolidated subsidiary of Nissan Motor Corporation Inc., has chosen IFS Applications™ as its new enterprise solution for its Brazil operations.

With more than 17,000 employees world-wide, CalsonicKansei manufactures climate control, electronics, engine cooling, exhaust, interior and automotive integration systems and has over 50 manufacturing sites across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific.

The main enterprise resource planning (ERP) project objective for CalsonicKansei was to select a solution that would standardize global business processes. The IFS Applications modules purchased ensure CalsonicKansei’s success in areas such as order management, warehouse operations, preventive maintenance, operations planning and scheduling, finance and accounting.

“We were looking for an ERP package to implement a standard process with real-time visibility based on a global process template, across our multi-national business units,” CalsonicKansei Senior Director of CIS for North America Scott Hendryx said. “The benefits we realize from IFS Applications will include global visibility and reporting capabilities, and reduced fixed costs related to our business plan, CK GX4 T10, through 2016.”

“As a complex automotive component supplier operating in short lead time, to-order manufacturing modes, CalsonicKansei is in an excellent position to benefit from the functionality of IFS Applications,” IFS North America Vice President of Sales Mike Lorbiecki said. “As IFS Applications offers full support for the unique Brazilian tax and legal requirements, including handling of Nota Fiscal documents, CalsonicKansei will be able to leverage the benefits of a truly global solution.”
