Motorola Announces Distribution of Connectivity's Call Boxes which Use Two-Way Radio Technology for Instant, Wireless Communication


SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (Sept. 30, 2003)- Motorola, Inc (NYSE:MOT) has turned to its 75-year heritage of wireless communication leadership to introduce a line of Connectivity, Inc.'s Call Boxes that can be effortlessly integrated into existing two-way radio systems. These units, that are now available through Motorola Authorized Dealers, can provide instant access between individuals in remote locations and personnel connected with the system.

There are various models suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. Call Boxes can link a customer in a parking lot with a security office, a delivery driver at the front gate with the loading dock, a player on the eighth tee with the clubhouse or a stranded motorist with a towing company. With easy Push-To-Talk operation, Call Boxes can provide an affordable and reliable way to communicate with remote locations. These units are powered by a single 12Volt/12 Amp/Hour Rechargeable battery and can be recharged using either a solar or AC/DC power source.

Built-in voice chips give audible instructions to users requiring assistance. Each unit also has an automatic Call Box ID and location identifier. Other important features include a courtesy light and silent tamper alert broadcast. The Call Box carries a one-Year Limited Warranty and the solar panels have a Five-Year Limited Warranty.
