Calix Selects National Technical Systems
Calabasas, CA - September 1, 2006 - National Technical Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: (NTSC) (NTS) announced today that it has been selected by Calix to manage Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) testing within its Calix Compatible Program in order to ensure seamless interoperability with the Calix line of access solutions.
At its Santa Rosa, CA Network Architecture & Interoperability Laboratory (NAIL), NTS will independently test and validate interoperability of a wide range of CPE devices with the Calix platforms. "We are very pleased that Calix has selected us to outsource their CPE testing requirements," said Curt Wheeling, NTS General Manager of the NAIL. "NTS has invested significantly in the NAIL facility in recent years, expanding our abilities to simulate carrier networks and test to ensure that any new devices will interoperate with their existing network infrastructure," added Wheeling.
"Certification testing is critical to the deployment of the Calix C7 platform in our customers' networks. Service providers want a choice in procuring CPE for their networks and also demand that the equipment interoperate flawlessly with our platform as new customers are added," said Rick Johnston, Calix Vice President of Business Development.
