California's Palmdale School District Chooses Tyler Technologies' Solution for Integrated Financial and Personnel Management

Palmdale Elementary School District signs contract for Tyler's Infinite Visions® school solution

DALLAS - Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement with California's Palmdale School District for Tyler's Infinite Visions® enterprise resource planning (ERP) school solution. Located in Los Angeles County, Palmdale School District is the fourth largest elementary school district in California with 20,000 students.

After a thorough review process, Palmdale School District selected Tyler's Infinite Visions solution to replace software that lacked significant functionality. Specifically, Palmdale School District needed a solution designed to work well with California reporting standards and built for managing district expenditures, encumbrances and budgets across all of their operations, while still maintaining compliance with the Los Angeles County Office of Education.

"With Infinite Visions, Palmdale School District will be able to create a more efficient process for budgeting and processing personnel requests by having an integrated system that combines human resources and payroll functions with budgeting," said Linda Miller, Palmdale School District's director of accounting. "We liked that Infinite Visions is a product created specifically for school districts, and that the software already addresses California state reporting mandates. We also like that Tyler Technologies is dedicated to the school market and public sector."

The school district selected several applications from the Infinite Visions suite, including core accounting, human resources, fixed asset management and the iVisions Web Portal for employee self service. The Infinite Visions agreement includes related professional services, maintenance and support.

"Tyler's Infinite Visions, used in more than 850 school districts, was designed to help K-12 school districts overcome business challenges unique to school districts, such as mandated reporting and complex payroll requirements," said Brett Cate, president of Tyler's Local Government Division. "Tyler has more than 2,100 employees dedicated to designing and supporting Tyler solutions for schools and other public sector organizations, and our perpetual license philosophy ensures that our clients have access to the latest product developments and features without having to pay for expensive upgrades."
