SAN DIEGO, Oct. 1 / - CMD Booth # 5 - California Micro Devices (NASDAQ:CAMD), a leading supplier of application specific analog semiconductor products for mobile handsets, personal computers and digital consumer electronics, will be showcasing its MDDI and MIPI client solutions for high speed serial interface display interfaces, its Praetorian® EMI (electromagnetic interference) filters and its PicoGuard(TM) low capacitance ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection devices for mobile handset applications at SID Mobile Displays 2007 in San Diego on October 2 and 3.
Display Controllers for High Speed Serial Interfaces
CMD's dual display and audio controllers are designed for wireless handsets that use a high speed interface to the display. The CM5100 features a fully compliant, MDDI based serial client, an integrated display controller with embedded memory that supports primary thin film transistor (TFT) liquid crystal displays (LCDs) with resolutions up to QVGA (320x240) and secondary displays. The CM5100's unique architecture is optimized for use with today's most advanced TFT LCD modules that feature drivers integrated directly on the display glass and also allows the use of low cost, RAM-less drivers for non-integrated display modules.
Praetorian EMI Filters for Wireless Handsets
Praetorian EMI filter arrays are designed for the latest multimedia enabled wireless handsets with high data rates between the baseband processor and high resolution displays and cameras. Groundbreaking Praetorian process technology allows the integration of spiral inductors with capacitors and ESD protection diodes in a single chip design, providing superior EMI filtering, high cutoff frequencies, minimal insertion loss, sharp rolloff and greater levels of attenuation at high frequencies.
PicoGuard ESD Protection Arrays
Ultra low capacitance, low profile ESD protection arrays are available for high speed serial interfaces in wireless handsets. They are ideal for interfaces such as MDDI, MIPI or USB2.0 High-Speed. Layout and placement flexibility are offered thanks to multiple channel configurations. Compact footprints, low profile and low cost characterize this family of devices.
