Blue Mountain Quality Resources Announces New Version of Its Calibration Manager Software

STATE COLLEGE, Pa., Jan. 20 -- Blue Mountain Quality Resources announced today the release of its newest version of Calibration Manager software. Version 4.2 incorporates several new features to improve compliance and make asset management easier and faster than ever.

"Calibration Manager 4.2 was developed with feedback from our customers and taking into account new trends and regulatory changes and extends our best-in-class functionality with significant new productivity enhancements," explains Jim Erickson, President of Blue Mountain Quality Resources.

With Calibration Manager 4.2, users can now quickly pass between calibration records for several pieces of equipment performed in sequence or batches. For example, this feature is particularly useful if a technician is calibrating multiple thermometers using the same standard at different temperature points. Records for all of the thermometers can be accessed at once to record measurement data and calibration results quickly and easily.

A new record hierarchy has also been implemented to make the calibrations of loops with multiple components more efficient. To manage the loop calibrations, calibration events can be created for the master loop record. Information about the loop calibration is then stored in the master loop record and the records for all equipment in the loop.

Assigning technicians to events becomes easier in Calibration Manager 4.2 with batch assignment. A new item on the shortcut menu allows users to assign multiple calibration events to a technician, streamlining the scheduling process. All changes are recorded in the equipment's audit record. For calibration and maintenance planners that commonly rotate assignments between multiple technicians, the scheduled person field for these events can automatically be cleared after calibration is completed.

Information can now be easily exported from Calibration Manager 4.2 to Microsoft Excel or a comma-delimited file using the shortcut menu. The information can then be shared or additional analysis or charting can be performed.

With this new release, view-only licenses are now also available and offer a low-cost way to give individuals access to calibration information who do not need to edit or input data.
