CalHIPSO Partners with MedeAnalytics to Develop a Clinical Analytics Platform for Primary Care Providers in California

Solutions to leverage data from electronic health records

LAS VEGAS, - MedeAnalytics, a leading provider of healthcare performance management solutions, announced today at the HIMSS12 Annual Conference & Exhibition that it has entered into a partnership with the California Health Information Partnership and Services Organization (CalHIPSO), the largest of 62 federally designated Regional Extension Centers (RECs). MedeAnalytics and CalHIPSO will be collaborating to launch a clinical data analytics solution that will support primary care providers in California. The pilot project is funded by a grant from Blue Shield of California Foundation. The standardized data analytics platform will be capable of accessing data from multiple electronic health records (EHRs) and other sources, and it will support applications that offer reporting, data analytics, meaningful use performance tracking, quality improvement initiatives, and population health management.

"It is CalHIPSO's goal to help physicians use their electronic health record data to improve the quality of care delivered and to achieve meaningful use," said CalHIPSO's Executive Director Speranza Avram. "Our partnership with MedeAnalytics will enable us to support thousands of primary care providers in California with an industry-leading analytics platform."

"As a California-based company, we are pleased to partner with CalHIPSO to help improve the quality of care in our state," said MedeAnalytics' Chief Executive Officer Mike Gallagher. "Electronic health records have created a massive amount of data that requires new technologies and data analytics to create value for healthcare providers and patients."
