Speedcad, The Ultimate Motor Design Package
MOTORSOFT(R) INC., Lebanon, Ohio, the sole US agent, now provides SPEEDCAD(TM), a suite of SPEED design programs from the world renowned SPEED laboratory of the University of Glasgow in Scotland. Four major SPEED programs are bundled into a comprehensive CAD package that covers the design of the following motor types:
> Single phase AC induction motors
> Polyphase AC induction motors (line driven or inverter driven)
> PM brushless motors
> PM self syncronous motors
> PM AC servo motors
> PM brushless generators
> PM DC generators
> PM DC motors
> Switched reluctance motors
> Switched reluctance generators
The program outputs are in the form of design sheets listing the calculated parameters and graphical displays of various waveforms including current, voltage, torque, back emf, flux linkage, gap flux, speed vs. torque curves, and thermal performance. Motor design with any SPEED program is rapid and interactive but it requires experience in motor design to properly access any program results. All programs are designed to be interactive and fast as well as user friendly. All that is needed is a Pentium 200 MHz personal computer (PC) or better and it operates on Microsoft 95, 98 and NT.
