CADKEY Corporation Releases Enhanced Versions of its MCAD Software Products

Version 21.5 of Flagship Product CADKEY Workshop Integrates New Releases of ACIS® and HOOPS® as well as Substantial Speed and Productivity Enhancements

Marlborough, MA - September 15, 2003 - CADKEY Corporation, a leading developer of Windows®-based design and drafting software used by mechanical design and manufacturing professionals worldwide for nearly two decades, announced today that it has released Version 21.5 of its MCAD product line. CADKEY Workshop V21.5, the company's flagship product, contains more than 250 enhancements over previous generation products (Releases 19 / 99). Enhancements since V21, released earlier this year, include improved IGES translators, surface matching capability, additional mechanical libraries, new ACIS® Version 11 solid and surface modeling from Spatial Corporation, and an improved HOOPS® Version 9 graphics engine from TechSoft America. The release is now available for download from CADKEY's website at www.cadkey.com so that active Annual Update Contract (AUC) customers can download it immediately rather than wait for their update CD shipment to arrive.

Robert Bean, P.E., President and CEO of CADKEY, states, "Version 21.5 is fast, reliable, intuitive, and customizable. There's something to please everyone in this release- from novices to our long-time expert customers. V21.5 is the same flexible CADKEY they've always known, only better. The focus of this version has been to integrate performance improvements that exceed customer expectations. Testing results compiled to date show significant quality and performance improvements over previous releases."

Beta tester and long-time CADKEY user Joe Szpak, Vice President of Szpak Manufacturing in Columbia Station, OH, states, "The difference between CADKEY Release 19 or CADKEY Workshop 21 and the new CADKEY Workshop 21.5 is night and day. The overall speed of Workshop V21.5 has improved greatly over V21, particularly in layout mode. The time it takes to do an HLR or HLD is a fraction of what it used to be; this alone is a tremendous time-saver for me. The stability of the program has greatly increased as well. The Parasolid® translator is giving better results, and the new menu structure set up for IGES files, which allows more options on export, has solved all of the CAM compatibility problems that I used to run into. The ability to customize your tool bars in V 21.5 is great to help shorten the learning curve, and the ability to create a custom tool bar personalizes the program to each person's particular needs is another great time-saving feature. V 21.5 offers so many options that individual users can customize to meet their needs it is almost like having a CAD program written just for you. When you compare Workshop V21.5 to CADKEY Release 19 with the previous architecture, that is where you see the real difference. "

CADKEY Workshop offers a carefully designed interface that integrates its renowned, intuitive 2D and 3D freeform wireframe modeling tools along with file referencing and assembly management. Beginning with Version 20, its architecture was redesigned 'from the ground-up' for the current generation of 32-bit Windows operating systems. The redesign integrated a new file database system critical to providing rock-solid reliability and measurable speed improvements over previous CADKEY architecture versions.
