New CAD Design Software Saves Time, Speeds Project Implementation

FMSsoft(TM) Design Software from Bosch Rexroth is now AutoCAD(R) 2000 compliant. FMSsoft(TM) 6.0 lets users design factory structures and equipment in 3-D, perform bending, loading and ergonomics analyses, and generate parts lists.

New FMSsoft(TM) parametric design software from Bosch Rexroth Corporation's Linear Motion and Assembly Technologies division works with existing installations of AutoCAD(R) 14 or 2000 to let customers design factory structures and equipment in 3-D using current aluminum framing, ergonomic workstation or conveyor products from Bosch Rexroth.

The convenient CD-ROM package includes software modules for each product line, with bending and load analysis tools, ergonomics analysis functions for workstations designed with the software, and human models ranging from the 5th percentile female worker to the 95th percentile male for easy visualization. 2-D and 3-D files in multiple formats are available for non-AutoCAD users, and the disk also includes a complete set of product catalogs and other documentation in Adobe's portable document format .pdf.

This powerful design software automatically generates lists of Bosch Rexroth parts, and all FMSsoft drawings transfer seamlessly into other AutoCAD drawings when complex designs include custom parts. Additional benefits include faster parts procurement and project implementation, early identification of spacing or dimensional issues, and improved productivity thanks to better ergonomic design. The software is free to Bosch Rexroth customers on CD, or it can be downloaded from the Linear Motion and Assembly Technologies section at www.boschrexroth-us.com.
