Original Press Release:

Bystronic Introduces New Bysoft 7 CAD/CAM Software Solutions for All Cutting and Bending Processes

(Elgin, IL) Bystronic Inc. introduced new software options to their Bysoft 7 modular CAD/CAM software for all of their cutting and bending machines during Fabtech 2014 in Atlanta.

New ByOptimizer - Unlock your profit potential. The new ByOptimizer cloud based material optimization service provides users with unmatched material yields and time savings potential due to its patented dynamic cluster technology algorithm. This unique algorithm makes use of high-end computing power not found in traditional PC’s. With ByOptimizer, the average increased material savings is 10% and the average time savings is 15%. The new ByOptimizer service can be accessed directly from the Bysoft 7 user interface and uses the existing database of parts and material requirements from each part.

New OPC Interface is installed on Bystronic laser cutting machines and collects information about the manufacturing progress on laser and waterjet cutting systems. The user can transmit this information to his own monitoring systems. The OPC interface provides an important basis to increase the degree of utilization and the efficiency of cutting systems.

New Observer is a passive remote monitoring system that keeps the user up to date about the operating status of his systems and about how the processing of orders is progressing. Observer is accessed by means of web-enabled terminals, such as: desktops, notebooks, tablet computers and smartphones. Observer increases the process reliability of cutting systems. Orders can be calculated in a reliable and efficient manner, because unscheduled idle times and deviations from the planned time per piece are reduced.

New TeamViewer allows BySoft 7 users to start a remote help session with Bystronic software hotline technicians. Once the TeamViewer handshake information is completed, users can share their computer screen and give mouse control directly to the hotline technician to quickly diagnose and help with any software related questions. TeamViewer allows quick and effective troubleshooting capabilities for BySoft 7 is a standard feature included with the software maintenance subscription.

PartID is an option of the Bystronic BySoft 7 CAD/CAM software.  The identification code is generated with BySoft 7and then laser-engraved onto the part utilizing a Bystronic laser cutting system.  At the press brake, the PartID is subsequently registered by a scanner unit and the desired bending program can be loaded automatically. Parts marked with PartID also provide an excellent means of part traceability.
