CacheLogic, provider of the worlds leading Digital Asset Delivery Network, a new generation of CDN (Content Delivery Network) services designed to meet the rich media needs of the 21st century Internet, today announced the addition of Adobe(R) Flash(R) streaming services to its Velocix Video product family. Velocix Flash Streaming provides both live and on-demand delivery of multimedia content from a series of globally deployed Adobe Flash Media Servers integrated within the Velocix Network.

With the release of Velocix Video - Flash Streaming, CacheLogic also announces it's partnership with Adobe as a Flash Video Steaming Services (FVSS) provider.

Changing the Economics of Flash Delivery with Highest Quality of Service

The Velocix Network is optimised for the demands of delivering live and on-demand multimedia and video assets to vast global audiences. For each viewer request, the choice of Adobe Flash Media Server to stream content is made dynamically based on traffic conditions, viewer location and bandwidth economics. This ensures the most cost effective delivery and highest quality viewer experience available on the market. In addition, Velocix provides advanced real time reporting of viewer demographics by country (and State for the US), Geo-blocking capabilities and token based authentication, enabling high quality pay-per-view services to be deployed.

Velocix Video - Flash Streaming was used for live video broadcast of this year's Singapore National Day Parade celebrations on the 9th August, marking
42 years of independence. The live Internet broadcast drew a large global audience on the day and the on-demand availability of a streamed recording has proven extremely popular both at home and with the large community of Singaporeans now living abroad.

"The use of Flash as a solution for distribution of video and media has grown rapidly and Adobe's recently announced support for the H.264 video standard takes this a step further by enabling an HD television quality experience over the Internet." said Phill Robinson, Chief Executive Officer at CacheLogic. "Adding Flash Streaming continues our commitment to extend Velocix capabilities to support all leading digital asset delivery methods. We look forward to working closely with Adobe as we continue to further extend the Velocix Network."

"The Velocix network from CacheLogic provides a reliable and highly scalable solution for delivering both on-demand and live streaming solutions to a worldwide audience, said Scott Wellwood, senior business development manager for Dynamic Media at Adobe. "We are delighted to welcome CacheLogic to the Adobe Flash Streaming Services program and look forward to working together to offer viewers the best possible web video experience."
