Impact Acoustics(TM) Introduces RapidRun Digital(TM), the Latest Addition to the Award-Winning RapidRun(TM) Product Family

DAYTON, Ohio, Jan. 4 // -- Impact Acoustics(TM), a leading manufacturer and distributor of high performance audio/video connectivity solutions, proudly introduces RapidRun Digital(TM), the latest addition to the patent-pending RapidRun(TM) modular cabling system. The RapidRun Digital system exceeds standard length limitations of HDMI and DVI signals while delivering dependable performance, ease of installation, flexibility, versatility and value.

The RapidRun Digital system overcomes normal length limitations of TMDS video signals by providing HDCP compatible DVI and HDMI signals more than 80ft from source to display. The system features the patent-pending RapidRun Digital Active Wall Plate(TM), the first HDMI/DVI wall plate solution with an integrated equalizer/extender. The extender corrects for attenuation and impedance so the signal can be transmitted over the Digital Runner(TM), the system's base cable, as long as 65ft at 1080p resolution. Utilizing the 65ft Runner, an Active Wall Plate with a standard 2m HDMI or DVI cable, and a 10ft Flying Lead, the total end to end length is over 80 feet!

Like RapidRun, RapidRun Digital is centered on the Runner(TM) base cable which is specifically designed to provide a reliable pathway for uncompressed high definition video. Runners fit through 3/4-inch conduit, even with a 90- degree sweep, making installations easier than with traditional HDMI and DVI cables. Termination is fast and easy - simply attach the appropriate DVI or HDMI Break-Away Flying Lead or Wall Plate termination option to the Runner and the connection is complete. Construction of the Digital Runner allows up to 25ft of distance between the source and display. Runners over 25ft require an Active Wall Plate to carry signals the maximum distance.

The modular design of RapidRun Digital also provides flexibility. By simply switching the Flying Lead or Wall Plate, a cable carrying a DVI signal is easily and almost instantly re-terminated to carry HDMI.

SUMMARY OF KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS

o Exceeds length limitations of standard cable, supporting total runs more than 80ft

o Supports HDMI and DVI uncompressed high definition audio and video and is fully compatible with the HDCP encryption system

o Runners are CL2-rated for in-wall use and easily pull through 3/4-inch conduit with up 90 degree sweep

o Termination options include Break-Away Flying Leads or Active and Passive Decora(R)-style Wall Plates, which provide a clean, finished looking installation

o Patent-pending Active Wall Plates contain an integrated equalizer/extender which corrects for attenuation and impedance
