Tyco Electronics Announces the New Family of NFPA 79 Compliant Cables



HARRISBURG, Pa. - September 21, 2009 - Tyco Electronics has introduced its new family of MADISON CABLE National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 79 compliant cables, which meet the requirements of Chapter 12 of the NFPA 79 standard. Specific applications of the cables include factory automation, machine manufacture and industrial machinery.

The new cables have been designed and tested to resist harsh chemicals found in many modern industrial processes and facilities. Key features of the cable include their flexibility and durability - making them suitable for tough industrial environments. In addition, the cables are ideal in industrial machines operating from a nominal voltage of 600 volts or less. The NFPA 79 cables are available in various construction and conductor sizes.
