HellermannTyton Introduces the Wide Strap Heavy Duty Cable Tie
August 9, 2005-Milwaukee, WI-HellermannTyton, a global leader in the development and manufacture of cable management solutions, announces its wide strap cable tie which minimizes pinching on soft hoses and convoluted tubing. The wide strap cable tie, which is ½" wide, offers a wide surface to accommodate soft bundles up to 4.125" in diameter. Designed to provide secure fastening while not distorting the bundle, the wide strap cable tie features a low profile head and a clamping rail on the bottom of the head to offer stability. It offers a thinner strap height to provide increased flexibility while providing a minimum 120 lb. tensile strength. The wide strap cable tie is made from high impact, heat stabilized, UV resistant nylon 6/6, making it suitable for high heat and outdoor applications.
A stud mount version of the wide strap cable ties is also available. While continuing to provide a design which minimizes pinching of soft bundles, the wide strap stud mount heavy duty cable ties also utilize a strong hinge between the stud mount and head to provide superior holding ability on a threaded stud. Wide strap cable ties can be properly tensioned and cut off using HellermannTyton's MK9, and MK9PN tools.
