PEM® Self-Clinching Cable-Tie Mounts and Hooks Install Permanently to Provide Secure Attachment Points
DANBORO, PA, September 3, 2002 - PEM® TY-D(TM) self-clinching cable-tie mounts and hooks available from PEM® Fastening Systems can provide secure attachment points for mounting wires to electronic chassis or enclosures. All types of PEM TY-D self-clinching hardware install quickly and permanently without screws and eliminate the use of adhesives that typically fail over time and temperature cycling.
Two types of PEM TY-D self-clinching hardware are offered in several sizes for permanent installation in sheets as thin as .040"/1.02mm or thick as .125"/3.18mm.
Type TD(TM) mounts allow users to slide ties easily through the hardware's "eye" for fast cable mounting. Type TDO(TM) hooks enable users to attach, remove, and return tie-bundled wires at their mounting points when components need to be accessed for service or when wires must be replaced. The hook feature allows ties to remain intact and wires to remain wrapped.
Both types of PEM TY-D hardware compare favorably with traditional mounting options. They can be placed with assurance at designed locations and angles to remain secure for the life of an assembly; they will not protrude on the opposite side and will not affect backside appearance or clearance; and they do not create openings that can result in EMI/RFI or contamination of electronics by dust or dirt.
