FCI Unveils The DataQik(R) Cable Support System

FCI, a leading connector manufacturer and provider of OEM solutions to the industrial, energy, application tooling and automotive industries, introduces DataQik(R), the ultimate data and communications cable support system. Easy to install, the DataQik is a light, compact, and flexible alternative to traditional cable support systems.

The DataQik center spine support system incorporates both metal and nylon components to ensure a lightweight yet sturdy support system that exceeds maximum load capacities. At the core of the system is a three-sided metal Spine that comes in 8-foot (2.4m) lengths with connection holes for rungs and hardware spaced on all three sides. Sturdy and strong, the spines are designed to be either ceiling attached, wall-attached, ceiling suspended, or floor mounted beneath raised floors. As part of the DataQik design, horizontal and vertical joiners are available that fasten to the spine. These joiners allow the spine to be easily maneuvered around obstacles typically found on the job.

FCI's patented cable support rungs are UL listed and approved for use in air handling spaces. The rungs simply snap into the spine's connection holes to create a pathway for all types of data cables. The rungs are available in various single and double-sided formats to accommodate jobs of any size. Additionally, the rungs are designed to accommodate the easy side loading of cable, a tremendous time-saver when compared to the more cumbersome pull-through loading required by traditional cable support systems.
