Greenlee Rolls Out New CR25 Cable Roller Guide

The bottom line is that the CR25 reduces cable pulling time and expense

ROCKFORD, Ill. October 3, 2005 - Greenlee's new CR25 Cable Roller Guide was developed to help guide and protect network and other cables being installed by network and coax installers or electricians. CR25 Cable Roller Guides can be used to simplify and speed up Cat. 5, 5e, and 6 cable installations and installation of other small diameter cables such as coax, NM, and small THHN. "The CR25 has many advantages over the alternative, which is to have installers manually guide the cable at each crucial point," said Jim Eisele, product manager. With the CR 25 multiple cables may be pulled at one time and the cables are protected from damage while they are being pulled. Installers don't have to stand in precarious positions or on ladders for long periods and can be performing more important tasks."

The CR25's are placed along the path of the cable installation where a bend occurs and at additional points where the cable needs to be guided. CR25's have a clamp so that they can be attached to cable trays, raceways, studs, joists or anywhere there is a need to run and guide cable. By removing a simple pull pin, the cable guide can be opened. Then installers can lay up to 20 cables to be installed into the CR25. Close the CR25 by reinstalling the pull pin, and the cables are ready to be pulled. The nylon rollers on the CR25 protect the cables from damage and minimize the force required to pull the cables. When the pull is complete, simply open the CR25 again and lay the cables into their final position. The result is faster pulls with less labor required.
