Santa Ana, CA- IT and System Engineers in high density Data Center, Telecom and Test and Measurement Systems will find the new KIT-CABLRES-01 Universal Cable Restraint System developed by Pulizzi Engineering secures interconnections and organizes cables to enhance both electrical and overall network reliability. The system provides a simplified and organized installation, which eases maintenance and repair operations.
The KIT-CABLRES-01 Universal Cable Restraint System provides two functions in one device, replacing more costly plug/connector restraint devices and cable management trays. Plugs and cables are supported by the KIT-CABLRES-O1 tray and secured with a permanent locking nylon tie wrap that must be cut with a cable tie cutter for removal.
The KIT-CABLRES-01 is compatible with any Pulizzi Power Distribution Units that utilize the detachable universal mounting brackets. This includes many electrical configurations, including NEMA and IEC receptacles. It can also be used to restrain and route data, fiber or network cables.
The tray design increases the maximum number of connectors that can be restrained on one side of a power distribution unit (PDU). For example, it can restrain up to 12 IEC 60320, C13 receptacles on one side of a 1U (1.75-inch) high PDU. This high-density solution is ideal where rack space is limited. The KIT-CABLRES-01 replaces two common connector retention methods: Twistlock NEMA Connectors (NEMA L6-15) and IEC Connectors with bale clips (IEC 60320 C13). The typical cost for these solutions (including the PDU) in a ten-receptacle system is: Twistlock NEMA
plugs at $365.00 and IEC bale clips at $443.00 versus only $298.00 for a system utilizing the KIT-CABLRES-01. In addition to the lower cost, the KIT-CABLRES-01 provides a more secure connection and offers cable management capability. The KIT-CABLRES-01 is sold separately from the PDU for $59.00 in small quantities. The kit can be retrofitted to existing Pulizzi Power
