Cooper Crouse-Hinds® Offers CAPRI Series Brass Cable Glands
SYRACUSE, NY- Cooper Crouse-Hinds® now offers its new CAPRI® series brass cable glands. Only one gland is required to terminate steel wire armour, steel wire braid or steel-tape cable.
Now gland selection and installation is simple when dealing with CENELEC certified equipment in Zone 1 or 2 hazardous areas. Used indoors or outdoors, they offer a standard nickel plate finish, a flameproof seal on the inner sheath of the cable and a weatherproof seal on the outer sheath. In addition they have IP68 ingress protection, a neoprene bushing temperature range of -40° to 100° C and an optional earthing washer for use with lead sheath cable.
The CAPRI® series is available with metric or NPT entry threads and fits cables with an inner sheath diameter of 4mm to 82 mm. They have ratings of EEx e II, EEx d IIB, and EEx d IIC>2000cm3. The series is compliant with CENELEC standards EN50014, EN50018 and EN50019 and meet the ATEX directive.
