Cable Connectors target multi-cavity molds.

Press Release Summary:

With Multi-Channel Cable technology, 1-4 or 1-8 sensors can be connected with one single cable running from mold to monitoring system. Based on single-wire technology, different wire strands are combined into one cable, eliminating hazard of potential mix-up of sensor connectors. Range of adapter cables ensures that connection technology is compatible with existing analysis systems.

Multi-Channel Cable Technology

Kistler has introduced a new, simplified connection technology with many benefits when used in multi-cavity molds. With the new multi-channel cable technology, between one and four or one and eight sensors can be connected with one single cable running from the mold to the monitoring system. Based on single-wire technology, the different wire strands are combined into one cable. Formerly, the connection of the mold to the monitoring device required up to eight cables and connectors. Now, one single multichannel cable and multichannel connector are sufficient.

As only one single connector needs to be accommodated, the new connection technology uses less space within the mold cavity. This in turn, minimizes the cost of mold cable connections, while the time and effort used for the set-up is reduced to a fraction. Moreover, the new method is safer: the hazard of a potential mix-up of sensor connectors is eliminated.

Multi-channel cable technology is now available for all Unisens' single-wire sensors with uniform sensitivity. A range of different adapter cables ensures that the new connection technology is compatible with existing analysis systems such as DataFlow. Sensors and connection technology are available as part of the multi-channel system Type 6831 A... . A new charge amplifier plug-in unit Type 5063A2 with multi-channel cable technology is available for signal conditioners Type 2859A... and 2865A...
