Original Press Release:

E6 Low-Noise, Low Vibration Energy Chain® Cable Carrier

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI (October 4, 2002) Energy Chain® System E6 offers low-noise and low-vibration performance through its unique way of joining links together: Rather than links snapping
into each other through a pin and bore design as in traditional cable carriers, System E6 links are connected by - and isolated from each other - through a flexible connecting element. Together with a short link pitch this provides for a very quiet and vibration-free operation, even at very high speeds.

Vibration-free performance is required for precision machine tools, measuring devices, semiconductor equipment and high-end medical devices. Noise is an issue that has to be addressed in any environment - from manufacturing to medical labs.

Energy Chain® System E6 offers the same benefits of other igus® cable carriers: Snap-open crossbars for easy installation of cables; separators to better guide individual cables with the chain; low weight and corrosion resistance through an all-polymer design. System E6 is offered in 3 heights and up to 16 width / radius combinations.
