Press release date: Nov 10, 2005

Reading, PA, November 2005 -- EnerSys, the world's largest manufacturer, marketer and distributor of industrial batteries, has introduced a new cabinet system for its DataSafe(TM) HX range of valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) batteries. The DataSafe HX Cabinet System is ideal for optimizing installation of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems for a number of applications including data support for the financial, telecommunications, pharmaceutical and insurance industries. The cabinets are UL 1778 listed and approved for UBC (Uniform Building Code) seismic zone 4 installations, allowing their use in the most demanding and critical applications, in virtually any location.

The space-efficient design of the cabinet system allows for simplified transport to the installation site and overall footprint optimization. The cabinets are factory pre-wired to minimize installation time. Hinged front doors and removable rear panels simplify maintenance routines. Several knockout locations are provided to accommodate specific site wiring needs. Dual DC rated fuses are standard. When closed, the cabinet provides a finished look, with no exposed electrical parts, to complement computer room electronic equipment.

The flexible DataSafe HX Cabinet System is available in a wide range of sizes and styles to match the user's needs. A number of customized options are offered, including circuit breakers and castors. The cabinets are easily upgradeable to include battery-monitoring systems and can be configured to support all UPS manufacturers' equipment and voltage levels.

Pricing starts at $4137 for 120 Volts (12.24 kWB). Delivery is two weeks ARO.
