Optima EPS Enclosures Feature Advanced Shielding Options



Tucker Georgia, Sept 18, 2006 - Optima EPS, an Elma Company, now has cabinet enclosures that feature advanced shielding options. The company has developed a special gasket used to achieve high attenuation levels on its M, R, and S-series cabinets.

Optima EPS has various levels of EMC shielding on its range of cabinet enclosure series. The S-Series is specifically designed for EMC shielding requirements. Going one step further, Optima EPS now offers advanced shielding options for the highest attenuation levels. The enclosures employ gaskets with a soft foam core and a mesh nickel-plated nylon exterior. The door has a tin-plated copper gasketing tape, which makes contact with the foam gaskets located on the frame. The soft gasketing helps create a tighter seal for both the EMI and cooling considerations. The attenuation level is designed for a minimum 60DB at 500 Mhz. The cabinets also employ spring and sawtooth gaskets around the external seams.

The M, R, and S-series cabinet families are available in a wide range of standard sizes, with extensive choices of; top, bottom, side panel, base, door and color options, allowing you to customize your unique enclosure system.
