Larson Electronics LLC Releases C1D2 Explosion Proof UV Fluorescent Fixture
Industrial lighting leader, Larson Electronics LLC, announced the release of an explosion proof UV fluorescent fixture approved for Class I, Division 2 locations. This explosion proof fixture is ideal for illumination in hazardous locations such as oil drilling rigs, refineries, solvent and cleaning areas, chemical manufacturing, and other locations where explosive conditions may be present.
The Larson Electronics HAL-24-3L-BMSW-BL-UV-FLGM explosion proof UV fluorescent light is a Class I, Division rated fluorescent-based UW lighting system that includes three, 2 foot T8 fluorescent lamps. Designed for Class I, Division 2 work sites, the UL-approved fluorescent fixture is offered in the following UV wavelength ranges: UVA (400nm - 315nm), UVB (315nm - 280nm) or UVC (280nm - 100nm). The lamp projects a wide beam angle of 150 degrees and operates on 120-277V AC.
This outdoor, marine-type fixture is constructed of copper-free aluminum alloy with a powder coat for great durability and ruggedness. The reflector on the lamp is built with corrosion resistant heavy gauge aluminum and has a high gloss reflective finish. A glass lens protects the T8 bulbs and provides robust transmission of UV light during operation. The HAL-24-3L-BMSW-BL-UV-FLGM has a lifespan of 15,000 hours and operates at a temperature range of -30°C to 85°C. The explosion proof fluorescent has a flange mounting system, which facilitates seamless drop-in mounting – great for installing in tight spaces.
