Design Team of the Year 2011 to highlight ZigBee Smart Energy and embedded design & development projects on stand 7
Birmingham, UK - ByteSnap Design Ltd, a specialist in embedded systems design and development, will be exhibiting for the first time at this year's National Electronics Week (NEW) event, on 18 - 19 April 2012 at the NEC, UK.
On stand 7, ByteSnap Design will be demonstrating its smart energy expertise by connecting its ZMM-01 ZigBee smart energy module and SnapUI lightweight user interface to two micro-Scalextric bicycles.
ByteSnap Design's ZMM-01 is the first ever ZigBee Smart Energy module to combine metering and control in a single, low power platform. The demonstration will show the ZMM 01 measuring power consumption and controlling the bicycles via a ZigBee wireless network (using the ZigBee Smart Energy profile). One of the first metering applications of the ZMM-01 is in electric vehicle charging posts and ByteSnap Design will be showing the EV metering technology on its stand.
ByteSnap Design's SnapUI customisation tool simplifies the user interface design process for low-power, high performance devices and was recently used in Geotech's new 5000 series of landfill and biogas analysers. The 5000 series are the first approved for Zone 01. These analysers incorporate many of the features commonly associated with smartphones and PDAs, making gas measurement and analysis simpler, safer and faster than before.
