BVS Coyote(TM) Modular Receiver Supports EDX's Wireless Planning Software

Berkeley Varitronics Systems & EDX Announce Hardware & Software Data Exchange Compatibility For Design and Validation of Macro and In Building Wireless Deployments

METUCHEN, NJ - Berkeley Varitronics Systems, Inc. (BVS) and EDX Wireless, leading providers of advanced wireless design and validation solutions to the domestic and international wireless telecommunications industry, have announced a collaboration to support each other's popular hardware (Coyote) and software (SignalPro®) platforms.

EDX® SignalPro® is the principal building block of EDX's comprehensive line of wireless network engineering tools. It offers all of the study types needed to design a wireless network, including area studies, link/point-to-point studies and route studies. The EDX® family also includes Signal-IQ(TM), a comprehensive software system for the design of in-building wireless networks, including Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), picocell, femtocell and 802.11 Access Point (AP) deployments. EDX Signal-IQ is a fully integrated standalone indoor RF design tool focused on the unique and evolving needs of in-building design. Designed with simple operation , yet with accurate RF coverage predictions as its primary goals, Signal-IQ streamlines end to end design of in building RF networks of all types

Coyote is a high performance, modular receiver system providing two unique and independent RSSI measurements using precision dual receivers. Coyote supports hot-swappable components including removable/rechargeable Li-Ion battery, CF storage cards, removable 12-channel GPS receiver module and two removable calibrated receiver modules for both indoor and outdoor drive-studies.

"In-Building DAS has picked up and many carriers need to expand their indoor coverage footprints. The Coyote has been popular for drive-studies over the years but now with EDX's powerful analysis software compatibility, RF Propagation studies are streamlined further. We are thrilled to partner with leaders such as EDX Wireless in this space." said Scott Schober, BVS President & CEO.

"Signal-IQ extends the capabilities of our leading SignalPro family of products by adding significant new functionality specific for the design of in building RF networks", said Mark Chapman, CEO at EDX. "Integrating data from BVS collection systems will further extend the capabilities of our solutions, providing accurate and simple validation of all wireless networks, including in Building DAS designs. This collaboration will offer our joint justomers an integrated and seamless environment to design, test and validate their wireless deployments."

Coyote is designed and manufactured in the U.S.A.. Get more information from www.bvsystems.com. BVS will be demonstrating the Coyote receiver in BOOTH 4940 at the at the CTIA 2012 Show in New Orleans, LA from May 8 - 10. Visit www.bvsystems.com for more information. EDX will be showcasing their SignalPro propagation software in Booth 4918. www.edx.comfor more information.
