Butterfly Valves feature rugged, molded plastic PDCPD bodies.

Press Release Summary:

With polypropylene or PVDF discs, Models 56D and 75D high pressure valves employ wafer style ANSI B16.5 bodies that integrate molded body stops to prevent over-tightening of mating flanges during installation. Available in 16-24 in. sizes, they feature 403 SS or 316 SS stems, and pressure rating of 110 psi at 70°F. Offered in EPDM and FKM seal versions, units have spherical disc design and ISO top flange mounting patterns that allow gear-operator, electric, or pneumatic actuator mounting.

Original Press Release:

New Butterfly Valves Handle Higher Pressures

Asahi/America, Inc. has expanded its line of butterfly valves to include increased pressure rated butterfly valves. New butterfly valve model types 56D and 75D feature rugged, molded plastic PDCPD bodies with durable Polypropylene or PVDF discs. Wafer style ANSI B16.5 bodies have been engineered to incorporate molded body stops to prevent over-tightening of the mating flanges during installation.

A spherical disc design improves flow characteristics and lowers operating torque. Industry standard ISO top flange mounting patterns facilitate gear-operator, electric or pneumatic actuator mounting.

Valve types 56D and 75D feature non-wetted PDCPD bodies and 403 SS or 316 SS stems. Available in both EPDM and FKM seal versions, the valves can be combined with an optional PVDF disc to provide for a broader range of applications.

Because the 56D and 75D are lighter in weight than most metallic valves of equal diameters, they are easier to install. Available in sizes 16" - 24", the valves have a pressure rating of 110 psi at 70° F. The new 56D and 75D butterfly valves are an ideal solution for applications with higher pressure needs.
