Low Cost Butterfly Valve Resists Vibration

W.E. Anderson Series SAE Butterfly Valves are an ideal low cost hydraulic reservoir shut off valve designed to meet the demanding needs of the fluid power industry. Priced from $144.00, unique features include an O-ring flange face seal complying with S.A.E. J518 dimensional requirements. The J518 connection is considered to be a superior connection for hydraulics because the connection seal eliminates hydraulic fluid connection leaks associated with tapered thread and gasket type seals.

The Series SAE Butterfly Valve's design provides for bubble tight reservoir shut off up to 25 psi (1.72 bar) and a maximum temperature of 180°F (82.2°C): 300°F (149°C) with optional Viton® O-ring seal. Series SAE flange sizes include 2 inch, 2-1/2 inch, 3 inch, 4 inch, and 5 inch models. Locking handle option is also available.

The compact envelope dimensions reduce space requirements and units allow for adjustment by incorporating an open/close detent position lock, which can be infinitely positioned to achieve a desired flow rate. The SAE Butterfly Valve's unique design resists the vibrations associated with hydraulic pumps and pumping system and is an excellent choice for servicing equipment without the loss of hydraulic fluid.
