EZ Bus Mini 1.8" Hard Drive Now Available in 60GB

Apricorn's EZ Bus Mini, the only bus-powered hard drive certified from the USB-Implementers Forum, now offers more memory in the same compact package

Poway, Calif. June 13, 2005 - Apricorn, a leader in personal storage, announced today the introduction of the larger 60GB capacity EZ Bus Mini to their popular ultra-portable USB hard drive line. Based on the latest 1.8" hard drive technology, the EZ Bus Mini is the smallest external hard drive and disaster recovery system available on the market today, and is the only bus-powered hard drive to receive certification from the USB Implementer Forum (USB-IF) to be 100% Bus powered.

The entire EZ Bus Mini line, now available in 20GB, 40GB and 60GB capacities, features a Hi-Speed USB 2.0, 4200RPM hard drive. The enclosure features an integrated USB cable, with a recessed compartment to keep the cable clear from view when not in use, allowing you to be connected with just the flick of a fingertip.

"Our EZ Bus Mini is the ultimate mobile hard drive, enabling anyone from mobile professionals to gamers to easily backup and transfer files as well as safeguard data while traveling on business or commuting from office to home," said Mike McCandless, Apricorn Vice President of Sales & Marketing. "And the bus-powered feature allows for hard drive access anywhere, anytime."

EZ Bus Mini is hot swappable with plug-n-play features and is only 15mm x 75 mm x 101mm in size, featuring a data transfer rate up to 480Mbps. Included with the EZ Bus Mini package is a travel pouch, encryption and synchronizing software, and back up software - EZ Gig II Hard Drive Cloning and Backup Software.

Software Features
o EZ Gig II Hard Drive Cloning and Backup Software for Windows is one of the most powerful and user-friendly backup packages available, providing two utilities on one disk: Clone EZ and Image EZ.

o Clone EZ is ideal for users who require an exact bootable clone of their drive. A cloned copy is great for upgrading a hard drive or real-time disaster recovery.

o Image EZ is perfect for users who want a compressed image of either their entire hard drive or a partition. Image EZ compresses its backup image files, leaving users enough space to backup multiple computers, or maintain multiple backups made at different times.

The encryption software included with the EZ Bus Mini secures and protects confidential and sensitive information. The software uses a mathematical process of scrambling data to ensure maximum privacy protection.

The synchronizing software allows for file sharing between multiple PCs, ensuring replication tasks are efficient and maintain data integrity.
