Press Release Summary:
Self-contained hydraulic tools of 11073 Series are designed to manufacture fatigue-prone components in oilfield and heavy transportation industries using CNC lathe. With proper use, these tools enhance fatigue life of highly stressed, high-cycle components without slowing down process. Primary styles include Straight, Right Hand 45°, and Left Hand 45°, where each presents roll at different angle relative to shank. Tool angle can be further rotated (via lathe turret) to meet specific profile requirement.

Increasing Fatigue Life: An Engineered Solution for Oil, Heavy Transportation, Aerospace and Wind Energy Industries
Rochester, NY – CJWinter has added another product to their Cold Roll Product Line. The 11073 Series Burnishing Tools were designed specifically to manufacture fatigue-prone components in the Oilfield and Heavy Transportation industries using a CNC lathe. With proper use, these tools will enhance the fatigue life of your highly-stressed, high cycle components (like drill collars, rail axles, automotive axles, wind turbine shafts, etc.) without slowing down your process.
The three primary styles of the tool available are Straight, Right Hand 45° and Left Hand 45°. Each presents the roll at a different angle relative to the shank. Tool angle can be further rotated (via lathe turret) to meet specific profile requirement. The hydraulic tools are self-contained and do not require an external accumulator for use.
Special features include:
• Self-contained: All you need is a socket wrench to pressurize the roller piston
• Tool comes with NIST traceable certified gage
• Pressure ratio is 1:1 – the tool requires no conversion between the values of hydraulic pressure and roller force
• Liquid-filled pressure gauge: Values can be observed after the cycle is complete
• Easy compatibility: CJWinter tooling for burnishing is compatible with any CNC or manual lathe
The 11073 Series tools are used in industries like oil, railway, automotive, aerospace, and wind energy.
CJWinter products and dies are also found in specialty applications like cold root rolling used by the oil and gas industry and in industries using dedicated rolling, forming and shaping mills. We've applied our decades of experience designing tools for rotary shouldered connections to the petroleum industry to become the only self-contained, commercially available tool with ANSI/API Specification 7.2.2008 and ISO 10424-2.2007 compliance, and in accordance with DS-1 and NS-1 standards.
CJWinter sells and services its products around the world and has installations on every continent except Antarctica. Renowned for its friendly customer service, expert technical assistance, fast delivery and custom engineered solutions, CJWinter should be your first choice when it comes to your material forming needs.
