Original Press Release:

Bulk Dry-Storage Desiccator Cabinets

New from Terra Universal are their Bulk Dry-Storage Desiccator Cabinets designed to hold drums of dry chemicals, pharmaceutical powders, food or agricultural supplies. Nitrogen-purged cabinets are made of reinforced stainless steel capable of supporting the weight of filled moisture-barrier canisters. They are configured to hold two or three 55-gallon or 30-gallon drums, or two, three or four 16-gallon drums.

Humidity is damaging to sensitive powders, grains and other dry materials. These desiccator cabinets provide added protection to prevent caking, microbial growth and other harmful effects of humidity. Steel doors have fortified hinges and LiftLatches to ensure a solid, hermetic seal. A digital hygrometer on one door displays the internal relative-humidity level. Users may choose to simply purge the cabinet with nitrogen after doors are opened, or choose Terra's Flowmeter and Relief/Bleed valve to economically control the amount of nitrogen being fed into the enclosed cabinet.

Self-closing doors are available as added security when storing susceptible materials. If needed, the cabinets may also be vented to exhaust harmful particles.
