Buckhorn® Launches New 48" x 45" Bulk Box

Innovative design features injection-molded base and structural foam panels

Milford, Ohio - Buckhorn Inc., a leading provider of reusable plastic packaging
and material handling systems, has proven that you don't have to sacrifice quality for a lighter weight design with the introduction of its latest innovation, a 48" x 45" bulk box.

This new container, the BN4845, is an industry first. It features
the proven design of sturdy, structural foam panels and drop down doors you expect from Buckhorn and combines that technology with an equally-strong, injection-molded, two-piece welded base.

"Our customers expect a certain level of quality from Buckhorn," said Joe Borer, Market Manager. "We found that there are numerous lightweight solutions on the market, but none that provide the durable side panels many customers require. By combining these technologies, we were able to address this unmet need, maintain load capacity and provide consumers with a lightweight solution that offers superior strength and ease of use."

Perfect for the manufacturing and automotive industries, Buckhorn's new bulk box design is available in 25" or 34" heights. It includes ergonomic handles as well as four drain holes for better outside storage.

The BN4845 nests with competitive bins when upright or collapsed, and it provides four-way forklift entry. Its full 31.7" wide dual drop-down doors are either 10.25" or 14.5" deep based on the height of the box. The doors do not block fork openings, minimizing damage to the container. It's also easy to repair - no special tools or fasteners required. The panels simply snap into the base while the latches
and hinges lock into the door.

Buckhorn's new bulk box is 100% recyclable. It offers a 3:1 return ratio - 234 collapsed containers will fit in a 53' trailer. It also features added decoration areas often required for industrial applications, including multiple recessed ID tag areas on all four sides of the base and additional flat surfaces on the panels and doors for labels or RFID tracking.

"With this year's launch of Maximizer and now the new bulk box, Buckhorn has established its commitment to innovation," said Borer. "Knowing that there were other lightweight products on the market, we had to do more than create a me-too product. The BN4845 was designed with the customer in mind, and it provides the perfect balance of strength and maneuverability."
