Bulk Bag Discharger works with liner clamping system.

Press Release Summary:

Sanitary Bulk Bag Discharger is lifted onto discharge station and liner, with Ezi-Dock(TM) seal, is pulled down and positioned on docking unit using dust-tight clamp. When bag is untied, product is released in dust-sealed environment with no contamination of product or operator exposure. Tensioning device keeps liner spout taut, preventing it from collapsing during discharge and maintaining smooth downward path for product to flow into feed chute.

Original Press Release:

New EZI-DOCK System For Sanitary Bulk Bag Discharging

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina-Spiroflow has introduced a new sanitary bulk bag discharger suitable for use with the Ezi-Dock(TM) liner clamping system. The system is designed for bulk bags with formed liners and is ideal for food, chemical and pharmaceutical applications where high degrees of containment are necessary.

The Ezi-dock system comprises two locking rings secured to the liner spout, usually factory fitted by the bulk bag manufacturer.

When ready for emptying, the bulk bag is lifted onto the discharge station and the liner, with its Ezi-dock seal, is pulled down and positioned on a special docking unit using a dust tight clamp. The bag can then be untied and the product will be released in a dust sealed environment with no contamination of product or operator exposure.

The Spiroflow discharger also incorporates a tensioning device to keep the liner spout taut, preventing it from collapsing during discharge and maintaining a smooth downward path for the product to flow into the feed chute. When combined with an integral downsteam conveyor, the system provides a totally sealed bulk bag emptying and product transfer operation. The simplicity of the system means that the whole operation can be carried out quickly and cleanly, providing a level of containment that would normally involve significant capital investment.
