Product Applications: DS-13/18 is a new family of high-performance, low-glare, compact parking garage and outdoor building-mounted area lighting fixtures. DS-13/18 emits sharply directional forward-throw downward illumination at building entryways, along pathways, at outbuildings and inside public or private parking garages and the like. Models suit a broad range of corporate, institutional and industrial structures of all kinds.
Product Description: DS-13/18 is characterized by smooth edged, semi-cylindrical architectural housing designs that mount flush to interior or exterior wall surfaces. Rounded edges and a curved seamless design to the housing present a bold, contemporary aesthetic, while preventing contaminant deposit.
At the heart of each unit is a stippled, computer-enhanced, one-piece asymmetric anodized metal reflector. It provides precise beam control and high lighting efficiency from a choice of metal halide, high-pressure, or low-pressure sodium lamps in different wattages.
This sophisticated reflector design combines with a flat, tempered glass lens to minimize unwanted uplight and wasteful light scatter. Fixtures can be specified in 13- and 18-inch lengths for application versatility with design continuity.
Construction & Finishes: DS-13/18 housings are constructed of durable, heavy-gauge die-cast aluminum alloy in a chip-and fade-resistant black polyester powder-coat finish.
Prior to application of an optional electrostatically applied bronze or custom finish; all DS-13/18 components endure a five-step pretreatment process, including an iron phosphate priming stage. This ensures superior coating adhesion and maximum corrosion resistance throughout the life of the fixture. Tamper-proof housing screws can be specified for added security.
The tempered glass lens is sealed and gasketed to the housing to prevent moisture or debris infiltration, maximizing lamp life.
The DS-13/18 family is UL and CUL listed for wet-location use. It meets or exceeds all ASTM requirements, including 1,000-hour salt-spray endurance testing.
