BTC Electronic Components To Perform Value-Added Services For Hypertronics D, KA, L And N Series

Wake Forest, NC (June 12, 2008) BTC Electronic Components, an authorized value-added distributor serving the connector industry announces their approval from Hypertronics to perform value-added assembly on multiple Hypertronics connector series. This approval comes after an extensive training and evaluation process by Hypertronics to assure continued quality and performance to their rigorous standards.

BTC will customize the D Series circular plastic connectors for specific applications. Customization includes metal shells for increased strength, custom colors to match OEM equipment and custom contact configurations. The D Series provides OEM medical equipment designers with reliable connections for applications such as ectrophysiology catheters, monitors, MRI's intravascular ultrasounds, defibrillators, infusion pumps and laboratory equipment. DO2 connectors are incorporated into the Arinc 628 system that provides power for laptops in commercial aircraft.

BTC will perform lead soldering on the KA Series using a state-of-the-art, computer guided tin dipping process. Each part will be inspected under a microscope for all soldering discrepancies to assure quality.

For the Hypertronics' L and N Series modular high density connector, BTC will custom configure a large number of contacts into a single frame to create mixed signal, power or coaxial modules allowing the user to meet their specific requirements with off-the-shelf components and shorter lead times.

"We are proud to be associated with Hypertronics as they are dedicated to total quality. Hypertronics' product offerings are a perfect fit for our customer base and we are glad to expand our value-added services to meet stringent customer requirements," stated Bob Barnett, President of BTC Electronic Components.
