New BX Series High Power Brushless DC Systems
Torrance, CA - Oriental Motor USA Corp. announces the expansion of the BX Series brushless DC speed control systems. The BX Series is now available in high output power models of 200 & 400 Watts. These new models are available with quiet GFH gearheads or in a round shaft version. Electromagnetic brake models are also available and allow a load to be held in a stationary position.
The BX Series compact, brushless DC speed control systems are available in two package configurations. The standard speed control system provides a speed ratio of 100:1 without any reduction in torque over a wide speed range of 30 to 3,000 rpm. The speed regulation relative to load and voltage variations is 0.05% each. The speed regulation relative to temperature is 0.5% over an operating environment of 0°C to 50°C.
The addition of the OPX-1A control module provides a speed control system with enhanced speed, position and torque control capabilities. With up to eight individual speed settings available, the use of the OPX-1A increases the speed range of the BX Series to 3 to 3,000 rpm. Temperature regulation is improved to 0.05% over the entire speed range and operating environmental temperature range. The OPX-1A displays position, speed and torque data, as well as alarm history. A motor torque limit can also be set using the OPX-1A control module in both speed control and position control modes.
The complete BX Series product family is available in four frame sizes ranging from 2.36 in. sq. (60 mm. sq.) to 4.09 in. sq. (104 mm. sq.), with five output powers ranging from 30 Watts up to 400 Watts.
